Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files saved in your browser when you visit a site. On Boombala we use cookies to make the game work and, only with your consent, to measure how the site is used. We use no advertising cookies and we don't sell your data.

Essential cookies

Without these you couldn't log in, sit at a table or make moves safely, so they don't need consent.

Cookie	What it does	Lifetime
boombala-session	Keeps your session and which table you are at.	2 hours (renewed on every visit)
XSRF-TOKEN	Protects your forms against forged requests.	2 hours
remember_web_…	Remembers you once you log in or sit down as a guest.	400 days or until you log out
locale	Remembers the language you chose (Turkish/English).	Permanent
cookie_consent	Remembers your cookie choice on this page.	1 year
server_session_…	Used by the server's security layer to verify requests.	10 days

Analytics cookies (optional)

If you agree, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_… cookies (for up to 2 years). If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded and these cookies are not set; if you agreed earlier and change your mind, existing _ga cookies are removed.

Game preferences stored in your browser

We also keep a few preferences that are not cookies: they stay in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to the server: how you arranged the tiles on your rack, whether sound is muted, and your voice chat settings. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.

How your personal data is processed overall is explained in the privacy policy.

Change your choice

You can delete or block all cookies at any time in your browser settings; if you block the essential ones, the game won't work.
