How is Old Maid played?
Papaz Kaçtı is the Turkish Old Maid. The king of clubs is taken out of a 52 card deck and all 51 cards left are dealt out.
- Throw out pairs: two cards of the same rank are a pair (two sevens, two queens…). After the deal everyone throws theirs out.
- Draw: on your turn, draw any hidden card from the next player's hand.
- Pair up: if it pairs with a card you hold, throw both out.
- Get out: whoever runs out of cards is safe; play goes on with those still holding cards.
- Stuck with the king: the last one holding the lone king takes a papaz.
Who wins?
A table plays 3, 5 or 7 hands. Each hand the player left with the king takes a papaz; after the last hand the fewest papaz win. For tactics see the how to play Old Maid guide.
Old Maid on Boombala
- On your turn the hand you draw from opens up in the middle of the table as a fan of backs: tap the one you want.
- Hands are shuffled after every draw, so nobody (not even a bot) knows where any card sits.
- The card you just drew lights up, and the king glows red while you hold it. Switch between a 3D and a 2D table any time.

Yes. Everyone at the table can turn on their microphone and camera with one tap. Watching the face of whoever holds the king is the best part.
How many players?
Three to six. Bots sit in any empty seats, so you can start against bots with one tap.
Why is a king missing?
The king of clubs is taken out of the deck, so one of the three kings left can never be paired and ends up stuck in someone's hand.
How do you draw?
On your turn you pick any hidden card from the next player's hand. If it pairs with a card you hold, you throw both out.
Who loses?
